WWIi VJ Day Silk Japanese Meatball Flag Currency & Military Patches Framed.
Frame is 29” x 30”.
Visible portion of the fag is 19” W x 9.75” H. Cannot provide details on covered portion of the fag as I have a desire to keep the backing in tact.
Photos shown aboard the USS Missouri are SC 211872 (General MacArthur) and 80-G-332701 (General Yoshijiro Umeza).
Framing was done in 2004 - comes from the estate of R. J. Sands, USN who served as Commander of the USS Tuscaloosa in 1979. Could not find any earlier service history that may explain source of items.
